How many types of tuning forks are there?

Keith Oddy – College of Sound Healing Tuning Forks Tutor says “There are two main types of tuning forks used for healing, plain tuning forks and weighted tuning forks.”

The tuning fork is struck and then applied to specific acupressure point or areas of concern. It is much like acupuncture, without the needles, and helps to release tension move stagnant energy and promote emotional balance.

What are Otto tuning forks?

The Otto Tuning Forks are used for relaxation, and for sending vibrations into the bones. The forks are tuned to the frequencies of 32hz, 64hz and 128hz. They vibrate at a low pitch due to their weighted prongs.

Can you take weights off tuning fork?

Definitely do not remove the weights. The position of the weight on the prong is what determines the final frequency so if you move or remove the weights, it will no longer be 128hz. You would use unweighted tuning forks for energetic work around the body and by the ears.

Why is Weber test louder in affected ear?

A patient with a unilateral conductive hearing loss would hear the tuning fork loudest in the affected ear. This is because the ear with the conductive hearing loss is only receiving input from the bone conduction and no air conduction, and the sound is perceived as louder in that ear.

What is the ratio of the 4 tuning forks?

They are in the ratio of 3:4:5 and also “Phi” (the Phi ratio is based upon the “4” ratio tuning fork and the other tuning fork which was created by multiplying the frequency of the “4” tuning fork by the irrational number of Phi). Yes, I did use 432 Hz. as the frequency for the “4” tuning fork.

What is the ratio of the Lemurian tuning forks?

With the Lemurian Tuning Forks, we have 4 tuning forks. They are in the ratio of 3:4:5 and also “Phi” (the Phi ratio is based upon the “4” ratio tuning fork and the other tuning fork which was created by multiplying the frequency of the “4” tuning fork by the irrational number of Phi).

Did you use 432 Hz as the frequency for your tuning fork?

Yes, I did use 432 Hz. as the frequency for the “4” tuning fork. And if you wanted, you could figure out the frequencies of the other tuning forks. But I’m just curious—why the interest?

How long does it take to go to sleep with tuning forks?
