Our students come from all over the UK and across the globe. Each year over 2,500 young people audition for just 104 places on our vocational BA (Hons) courses. Only the most talented get places and this is borne out in our graduate employment statistics.

What is mountview known for?

Where was mountview before Peckham?

Before that the site had housed Whitten’s timber yard and, originally, a canal-side warehouse. It was built by the award-winning contractor Gilbert-Ash who recently completed the Stirling Prize winning Liverpool Everyman Theatre.

Why is mountview called Mountview?

Upon moving home to London after the war, Peter decided to continue making theatre and training hopeful actors, and, when he decided to name it after his local telephone exchange in Crouch End, Mountview was born.

How do you get into Rada?

13 Admission to RADA is by audition (for acting programmes) or interview for technical theatre arts programmes. For our BA (Hons) in Acting, FdA/BA (Hons) Technical Theatre and Stage Management and PgD Theatre Costume, and Foundation Course in Acting all prospective students will be auditioned or interviewed.

How much does it cost to audition for Mountview Theatre?

At £35 (Early Bird Fee) and £45 (Standard Fee) Mountview’s audition fees are among the lowest nationally and we offer a number of free places – via a network of partnerships with youth theatres nationwide – for students unable to afford the cost. The fees cover the costs of the day’s workshops and panel auditions (see details below).

How do I apply for first round auditions?

First round Foundation, BA and MA Performance auditions will take place online. Candidates will need to submit a film of them performing their selected material as outlined below. Details of how to submit the application, along with tips and filming advice will be sent upon application. There is a £20 online audition fee for first round auditions.
