Can you cap eco complete?

Some people cap it off, but I have just mixed it with a bit of black sand, 3/4 Eco to 1/4 sand and it works fine. I will not go back to gravel or sand after using Eco -Complete. Also don’t rinse it, it comes with beneficial bacteria in the water, you want to keep that.
