What is FPFF training?
Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) course is one of the four basic familiarization courses ,which a prospective seafarer must do before proceeding to the sea. The present course fully covers the syllabus as prescribed in IMO model course on Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting and meets the STCW 95 requirements.
Is there any refresher course for Pssr?
There is no need for refresher training if the subject training was undertaken within the past five years. If the seafarer has undergone advanced training such as AFF, PSCRB etc., then the certificates of corresponding basic training such as FPFF and PST are not required for undertaking the refresher training.

How many days is Solas training?
SOLAS Requirements It is very easy to qualify to take and study this short-term 8-days course for seafarers in the Philippines. All you have to do is to pass certain qualification standards and a few IDs and you are good to go and enroll to a nearby accredited training center.
Why is Solas training important?
The SOLAS Convention is the most important of all the international conventions concerning the safety of merchant ships. The first version of SOLAS was adopted in 1914 in response to the Titanic disaster. The course will be of benefit to anyone involved in either the construction or the operation of ships.
