What are the requirements to get into a military academy?
Candidates must meet the following basic eligibility requirements:
- Be at least 17 but not older than 22 on July 1 of the year they enter West Point.
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Not be married.
- Not be pregnant.
- Not be legally responsible for child support.

Is West Point free to attend?
